Preventing Death by PowerPoint®
PowerPoint® Unplugged
You know how boring a PowerPoint®-heavy presentation can be:
slide after slide of template-based information so small that
you can barely read it, the presenter reading aloud from the
slides that are listed on the handout, you not paying attention
because you can go home and read the slides yourself!
How do you keep from making these mistakes as a presenter using
PowerPoint®? How do you keep participants motivated and
involved? Is it possible to be a dynamic presenter while still
using PowerPoint®?
In this interactive, hands-on program, you will learn answers to
these questions and more! This course is designed for any
professional who conducts presentations using PowerPoint®,
especially those who have large amounts of information and/or
technical data to present. Explore a variety of easy, quick and
practical ways to bring energy and learning back into your
PowerPoint®-based presentations. After participating in this
workshop, you will be able to:
- Use a variety of strategies that will transform
PowerPoint® from a “lecture” tool to a “learning” tool.
- Choose from many one-minute, “learner-centered”
activities that work with any slide, any content, and any
audience.
- Create motivational and memorable “graphic organizers”
(note taking tools) instead of plain PowerPoint® handout
templates.
- Access your participant workbook of useful suggestions,
ideas, activities, and resources to put the “power” back
into PowerPoint®.
